Obstacle and Precision Games

Spot Landing with Obstacle:

  • Objective: Land on a designated spot after clearing a ground-based obstacle.
  • How to Play: Place a small obstacle, like a short fence or a series of cones, a short distance before the designated landing spot. The pilot must approach the landing zone, clear the obstacle, and then land as close to the target as possible. This adds a layer of challenge to the traditional spot landing.
  • Skills: Landing accuracy, obstacle awareness, and a steady hand.
  1. Gate Racing (3D Racing):
    • Objective: Fly through a series of vertical gates or hoops arranged in a 3D course.
    • How to Play: Set up a series of gates at various heights and angles. The pilot must fly through each gate in sequence. This can be timed for a competition or simply as a personal challenge to improve control and precision. This is particularly popular with FPV (First-Person View) flying, but it can be done with line-of-sight flying as well.
    • Skills: Spatial awareness, precise control at various altitudes, and smooth rudder and aileron coordination.
  2. Hula Hoop Challenge:
    • Objective: Fly through a hula hoop suspended from a line or held by two people.
    • How to Play: This is a variation of the limbo game, but with a different challenge. The pilot must fly through the hoop without touching it. This can be made easier with a large hoop and more difficult with a smaller one or by having the hoop moving.
    • Skills: Precision flying, focus, and a steady hand.
